PIXIES have shared new single ‘Motoroller’.

The alt-rock pioneers are back, recently touching down in London for a titanic performance at All Points East. New album ‘The Night The Zombies Came’ will be released on October 25th, and the previews are coming thick and fast.

New single ‘Motoroller’ races ahead with alacrity, the pulsating velocity of the song held together by Black Francis’ inimitable howl.

There’s a real sense of vitality to PIXIES’ current work, and ‘Motoroller’ points to greater spoils on the album ahead.

PIXIES comment:

“This is one of those kinds of songs where there’s little threads you can follow and they take you somewhere. But they’re not required for the experience. You can just start fishing around in the lyrics, and maybe you won’t find exactly what the story is, but you’ll find a story related to the city of Berlin. So just have fun with the clues that are there.”

Tune in now.

Looking ahead, PIXIES will play a full UK and Europe headline tour next summer. The British leg opens in Aberdeen on May 13th, before hitting Edinburgh, with PIXIES playing two nights at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.

The band play Leeds on May 19th, before playing Birmingham, Cardiff, Newcastle, and Manchester.

PIXIES will play the following shows:

May

13 Aberdeen P&J Arena

14 Edinburgh O2 Academy

16 London O2 Academy Brixton

17 London O2 Academy Brixton

19 Leeds O2 Academy

20 Birmingham O2 Academy

21 Cardiff Utilita Arena

23 Newcastle O2 City Hall

24 Manchester O2 Apollo
