Atlantis Connection interviews BBLicious

I begin this text thinking about the quality and talents I find along the virtual paths of 3D universes.

Since my entry into these worlds, I have met interesting people with very unique stories.

People from a wide range of colors, feelings, experiences, identities, and countries.

People who are also in search of something, a complement for themselves, and a broader meaning that transcends the everyday.

People who find in virtual life a way to reinvent themselves, learn, share, and help. The searches and learnings, no matter how diverse, have one thing in common: the thirst for the new.

This space was born from the need to understand a little more about the motivations of virtual life and the people behind the avatars.

"People who, in their quest for the new, create projects, brands, universes, contests, clubs, and, in doing so, energize an entire community."

Our guest for this edition is one of the most versatile and accomplished figures on this platform. She has been a constant and active presence in Utherverse over the past years. She's a decorator, designer, DJ, sales agent, and a true marketing expert. She has led a dance team, hosted events, and been a manager and club owner. A former senior member of The Associate’s Board, she has also co-managed the Zaby Home Show and volunteered for the Utherverse team. An American, she's been active on UV/RLC since 2011, and her name is always associated with successful projects.

To kick off this edition, Atlantis Music Hall is honored to welcome a great entrepreneur in this virtual world: Treas_BBLic_DRMC Or, as I still call her, BBLicious.

The interview was held at the Factory Auditorium on October 26t.

Welcome to the Second Edition of Atlantis Connection. This is a talk show by Atlantis Music Hall, the radio station I operate in Utherverse.

Now, enjoy the full conversation.

Perseus INTERVIEWS BBLicious

Perseus - BBlicious, welcome!

BB – Thank you, Perseus. That was quite an intro. It’s my pleasure to be here. Hi everyone coming in.

Perseus - Thank you for accepting my invitation.

BB – Of course.

Perseus - Would you prefer to be called BB, BBlicious, or Treas_BBLic_DRMC?

BB - As I tell other peeps who call me a plethora of names - just call me BB it's easier. Lol

Perseus – Great! I prefer BB too. Lol

BB - Lol

Perseus - I must admit, I’m quite impressed with your journey and the number of things you’ve accomplished in our virtual world. It seems like we’ve got a true workaholic on the platform.

BB - Thank you and yes, I've referred to myself as a workaholic many times.

Perseus - I’d like to start our conversation by asking just that: how do you stay so interested and active on the platform after all these years?

BB – Well… I’m driven. In my real life, my dad was a hard-working, blue collar, family man. I remember him working 3 jobs when my brother and I were kids, just to support his little family of four. So I guess you could say, I learned from my dad what a work ethic is. Since I’m disabled in real, I’m unable to work so I exercise my work ethic in RLC.

BB – Also, the fact that I need to work to supplementary my disability income, that factor in, as well. I’m driven to work to make extra money, like a lot of peeps in RLC.

Perseus - I had no idea. The platform is very inclusive; many people with special needs find a strong support network here.

BB – Yes, that is true. A large part of the population in RLC are people just like me.. that are disabled in some way.

Perseus - That’s one of the positive aspects I find in virtual worlds.

BB – Yes.. it makes it easier to interact with others as well as give us all the opportunity to find our niche.

Perseus – I’ve been thinking a lot about this issue in the contemporary world, and I find it to be extremely positive.

Perseus – From your perspective, how does the platform assist you?

BB – Well, as I said.. it allows me to exercise my work ethic. I also get to express my creativity and the business part of my mind gets satisfaction as well, lol. I can’t tell you how many business ideas I’ve come up with over the years. Some, I’ve given to others, some I’ve acted on, some are still on the waiting block.

BB – It also allows me to generative income that assists in my real life.

BB – I’ve made some lifelong friends here, as well… peeps that I will go to my deathbed loving as best friends.

BB – If I had never found RLC, I would probably be a recluse in real, lol.. and would probably also be a very unhappy person.

Perseus – I consider you extremely active in the community. Whenever there’s a successful project, I see you involved in it.

BB – I admit, I have had my fingers in a lot of pies in RLC, lol.

Perseus – I agree, lol.

Perseus - You joined the platform in 2011. How did UV/RLC come into your life?

BB – Well… I started spending more time online around that time, and I was on another web site and saw the advert for Utherverse on the sidebar. It looked interesting, I clicked it and logged in to check it out. I was interested in video gaming at the time.

BB – I spent 3 days here, and nobody talked to me.

BB – On the 3rd day I told myself, if no one talks to me today, I’m out of here!

BB – However, I met a nice lady.. I still remember her name – Cookie – and we had a lovely conversation for over and hour and it was at that point I decided to stay.

BB - … and here I am, 13 years later… lol.

Perseus – cool! Thirteen years is a long time.

BB – Yes.. it is. Sometimes, I sit and think about it and can’t believe it’s been that long.

Perseus - What were your first impressions of this new world?

BB – Well, I tell peeps all the time that I was born and raised in the Zaby Lobby. I was the last Lobby Bitch, lol… They had tshirts for that, I got the last one. I guess you could also call me a Lobby Rat.. anyways, I was amazed by the opportunities I saw in front of me. Also by the people… I was listening to peeps say they had been here 3 years already.

BB – I was listening to that and thinking… will I be here for 3 years? That seems like an awfully long time… lol

BB – So, I knew I had a lot of to learn.. a lot to see.. and I was ready to get started.

Perseus - I can imagine. In 2011, everything was still very new.

BB – Yes, somewhat.

BB – To me, everything was brand new. I had everything to learn.

Perseus - I remember being quite impressed by the emergence of these platforms.

Perseus - Was there an immediate interest that attracted you to the platform?

BB – Before RLC, I didn’t have experience with other platforms, so this was the only one I knew. Yes, DECO. Deco was the first thing that caught my eye, lol. It was also my first business.

Perseus – hahahaha, I can imagine!

Perseus - My first contact with your work was through Storage Wars. That’s where I first encountered your brand and the products and layouts you created. How did decorating come into your life?

BB – I real life, when I was younger I wanted to be an Interior Decorator, so.. deco definitely was an attraction for me here.

BB – Well…

Perseus – This is wonderful! The interest of real life materializing in the virtual world.

BB – Three months into my life here in RLC, someone approached me to play The Apprentice, with Steven Kreg. If anyone is old enough to remember, it was the UV version of The Apprentice TV Show, with Donald Trump. There were tasks that involved deco and I was frustrated that I was so green in that department. So, I set out to learn.

BB – I asked friends for help, I read the Zaby Bible, I read Forums.. I did all I could to learn.. and I’m still learning to this day.

BB – I’m not an expert on deco, not at all.. I do alright, lol. But I love doing it.. it gives me peace and sometimes, I don’t even have to think when I do it I love it.

Perseus – I remember this show; it was very popular. So, it had a version in RLC.

BB – Yes.. andI enjoyed it, it was a big part of my RLC life at the time. Also, Steven Kreg is the man who started the Zaby Home Show.

BB – I didn’t learn that til after I started co-managing the show with Sweetpea, she told me.

Perseus - Wow, amazing! This is my favorite project here. Is he the creator of ZHS then?

BB – Everyone should have a favorite and it should be something you truly love. Deco is my first love in RLC. Steven Kreg was the creator of Zaby Home Show, yes. He started it. He also had The Apprentice, wich rebranded into The Associate and he also had Big Brother and started another called Survival. Which of course, was a knock-off of the TV show, Survivor. Survivor and Big Brother didn’t last long, I don’t think.

Perseus - Wow, so many cool projects!

BB – Yes.

Perseus - Another workaholic too, I think. Lol

BB – Lol.. well, he wasn’t so much, I don’t think. He had some cool ideas buth he didn’t “live” in RLC.

Perseus - Has he left the platform?

BB – Yes, he left years ago.

Perseus – That's too bad.

Perseus - What inspires you in decorating? Is there a particular design or architectural style that influences your creations?

BB – Anything can inspire me, lol. My largest influence is Victorian and Gothic as well as Traditional and Rustic. You will see a Victorian or Rustic flavor in everything  I do, deco-wise.

Perseus – Very good choices.

BB – I love Victorian, it’s my favorite.

Perseus – I like these styles a lot.

BB – As far as inspiration goes…

BB – I can be watching television (I have pics on my cellphone of a TV show, something I wanted to recreate, lol)… I get inspiration from books I read  or just the internet. It could be a snippet of a convo I have with someone.

Perseus – Do you have a favorite layout?

BB – My favorite, I call it my masterpiece, lol.. My favorite is Cozy Christmas. I worked hard on it, did the shadow work and all that.. and yes, it won a first place award and magazine cover in the Zaby Home Show.

Perseus – Wow! Congrats!!

BB – Thank you.

Perseus - I think that for every designer, inspiration comes from many places, right?

BB – I agree with that.

Perseus - What are your current businesses on the platform?

BB – My current businesses, lol.. I hope I don’t forget anything..

BB – Bad Deco (layouts), Bad Company (layouts) and BadApple Props (furniture/props) – I recently closed them but still sell to anyone who messages me with interest.

BB – B’s Threads (clothing), I’m DJ BBFuckinLicious, The VIP Treatment (VIP upgrades) and Bulletins by BB (WIX bulletins and other graphic work).

B’s Threads (clothing) | Showroom

BB – I fell like I’m missing something.. But we’ll go with that, lol.

Perseus – This has been a general concern among designers: the recent decrease in sales volume within the platform. Has this decline affected your business?

BB – Yes and no. As far as traffic in my showroom goes, it has never really been a #1 salesroom, in comparison with more well known designers here.. however.. I have had steady sales over the years.

BB – I closed my showrooms due to yes, decreased interest, as well as bigger expenses in other areas.. so I’m finding it harder to pay all the rents, plus I just don’t have time to work on MY stuff anymore. I work for too many other people. If you can’t put out anything new, peeps just won’t come into your showroom anymore.

Perseus - That's a good sign. You even provided a support point for designers who didn't have a showroom, right?

BB – Yes – I am the owner of Heaven of Homes. It’s a showroom for designers who don’t have a showroom. There is no fee, I don’t take a sales commission and to be honest, I’m little upset that more peeps are not taking advantage of it, lol. I had a few peeps who wanted to sell their work in my showroom and that’s how Haven of Homes came about.

Perseus - I think it's a great idea.

BB – I love to help people.. I’m not always able to.. but this, I could do.

Perseus – This is one of the great advantages of the platform: the ability to reinvent businesses.

BB – Yes.

Perseus - This is really huge. In today’s world, providing access to others is very important.

BB – Yes.

Perseus – about services... You’re also a DJ. How did your interest in spinning records come about?

BB – Well, I have always loved music. I also have always had a stuttering problem!

BB – So, becoming a DJ was kind of like  a pipe dream for me, however…

Perseus - I think that's true for most people.

BB – One evening I was attending a fundraiser – this was years ago. I have been a DJ for about.. 9ish years? I won a free 3 month DJ stream at this fundraiser. So I contacted the guy and said, I’m interested but know nothing about it. He said no problem, I’ll take care of you. He set me up, taught me how to use the software, gave me some music, sent me on my way.

BB – One of my friends, DJ SHUG, taught me how to DJ. I spent 2 months practicing Dj’ing while I was deco’ing because that stuttering problem. I had.. I was trying to get rid of it.

BB – I’ve had a stuttering problem since I was in Kindergarden, and even had to have speech therapy. As an adult..

BB - … the only time it shows up is when I have to speak on a microphone of some kind, lol.

BB – So I had to overcome this and working as a DJ helped tremendously with that. Now, I have no issue speaking on the mic. I have Dj’ing to thank for that.

Perseus – I think it’s amazing for someone to become a DJ. It’s a job that requires sensitivity and a keen ear for music.

BB – Yes and a little bit of tech knowledge.. which was also difficult because I tell peeps all the time, I’m tech stupid, lol.. but you also need to be able to inject some personality in your address, when you’re speaking on the mic.

Perseus – but you do very well DJ'ing and on the microphone.

BB – I apparently found my niche, I was a top DJ for a while.. not so much anymore, lol. I want to reinvent myself as a Wedding DJ.

Perseus – Really cool. Do you have any preferences when it comes to music styles, songs, or bands?

BB – I love rap and hip hop. I grew up on it and its my favorite but I have found much success as a Rock DJ in RLC. It’s my main genre here.

Perseus - I believe most people have a preference for rock, but I really enjoy hip hop.

BB – Yes, I’ve found that to be true in RLC.

Perseus – What would you recommend in this genre?

BB – In the Rock genre, I would say my faves are 80s rock and Hard Rock. Bands such as Halestorm, Hinder, Five Finger, Death Punch as well throwbacks such as Poison, Def Leppard and Great White are some of my faves.

BB – I was born in ’70 and grew up in the 80s so I’m partial to 80s everything.

Perseus – I love the classics. The '80s are my favorite decade.

BB – Yesss.

Perseus – about hip hop… There’s a series by Baz Luhrmann called The Get Down that talks about the birth of the genre in the US. I believe that hip hop culture is about attitude and the message of oppression, right?

BB – At one time, yes.. it was heavily about oppression.. The messages in the music has changed quite a bit but yes, attitude is a big part of it. To me, I’m attracted to what is energetic and has a great beat I was playing rap/hip hop the other night while doing housework, lol. It energizes you!

Perseus – I have that feeling with music too. It changes my mood ad energizes me at certain moments.

Perseus - In your opinion, what is necessary to become a good DJ in Utherverse?

BB – Yes. I also use music to realx me and keep me calm. I listen to Mellow Gold quite a bit on 181.FM.

Perseus – I like that station too.

BB – I believe the #1 thing you should have that will make you an excellent DJ – is a personality. You must have a personality, something you can interject into your DJ persona. Peeps respond to that. If you drone on while on the mic and have no inflection I your tone.. or if you’re just reading notes and your voice is falt.. or if you’re too business-like… peeps won’t be attracted to that.

Perseus – What is needed to have that personality?

BB – You have to be FUN.

BB – Well, I can only tell you what I did. I made it my mission to talk on the mic the way I talk to my closest of friends.

BB – I talk junk on the mic, I call people out for mistakes, I laugh at stuff they said in local, I joke, I do MM shout outs… I try and make it fun.

BB – I also am not afraid to be emotional on the mic. I have cried... I have talked through entire songs.. I have made mistakes on the mic and laughed at myself… you gotta roll with things. I’m not afraid to do all that.

Perseus - Do you agree that the DJ is the great maestro of a party? How do you get the audience to vibe with you?

BB – When it comes to parties, your inviters are the backbone of the party. They get the peeps in there but the DJ KEEPS them in there.. so Yes, the DJ Is very important. To get someone to vibe with you, you have to vibe with them. You have to be able to read a room. There have been times I’ve been like, okay, so these peeps are more into Disco than Rock. I have changed entire sets before, simply because of what I’ve observed. You can’t play music based on what YOU want or what YOU like.. you are there for THEM. So you do what they like and you’re good.

Perseus – That’s really interesting.

BB – Djing is more than just about the software and the music. Anyone can buy the software, anyone can push a button to play music.

Perseus - I think that is what differentiates a DJ from a music player.

BB – Yes. I think, in the beginning, what put me at the top of the DJ lists.. was my voice. Which I found to be utterly ridiculous, lol.. but peeps were obsessed with how country I sound, lol.

Perseus – It’s important to read the audience and understand the direction that will make the party pop or not.

BB – Yes, It is.

Perseus – hahahaha really? I followed you at the last ZHS party. I think you do an amazing job.

BB – Yessss, lol. I’m Southern, lol… so I have that twang. Hahaha.

Perseus – hahaha amazing.

BB – Thank you. I will always be there in the DJ capacity for the Zaby Home Show, if they need me.

Perseus – I think that’s very interesting about the platform: the various accents from all over the world.

BB – Yes.. I remember one from one of my weddings, lol. The DJ was Serbian…

Perseus - You were once the owner of the Club Late Night. Can you tell us a bit about that project? How did it come about?

BB – Club Late Night was a pipe dream for me. Anyone who has owned a club knows that they are money pits. I didn’t have the money to run a club and I knew it, lol. So… the plan was – only DJs who worked for tips and no games/trivia and no dance teams. Good peeps, good tunes, good times.. that was my motto.

Perseus – I can imagine.

BB – In the beginning.. which CLN was born on Jan. 18th, 2018..

Perseus – I’m amazed by the number of rays needed to make a club edition happen.

BB – In the beginning, it was just me as the DJ, twice a week and I only had 2 peeps in the club both nights. Two very good friends of mine who were big supporters.

Perseus – I’m amazed by the number of rays needed to make a club edition happen.

BB – Yes..

BB - Those two were so supportive and I wanted to show my appreciation so I made two “spots” and put on the floor for them. The spots had their name on them and the date the club opened and was put in their fave dancing spot, so they always had some “real estate” in the club.

Perseus - This is very cool.

BB – As time went on, I managed to get more DJs to join my team, it eventually evolved into top tier DJs, 4 nights a week. All working for tips only… and I will be honest and say.. our peeps really loved our DJs, based on the tips they got.

BB – But.. after a while, I was really tired and I lost a top DJ and it made a huge impact.. so I decided to go out on top. I closed CLN.

BB – Fast forward to DJ_Rennix closing Start Me Up and I re-opened CLN.

BB – After a while, I again go tired.. as this was a club that ran from Midnight Est-4am Est.

BB – So I decided to sell the club, and I did. The owner had it a few months, decided to leave, so I reacquired the club and this time, I gave it away. I didn’t feel like it was right to profit on it twice..

Perseus – How long was it closed?

BB – Two year, maybe three?

Perseus – Wow!

BB – The whole time it was closed, I constantly had peeps asking me to reopen but I just couldn’t do it.

Perseus – I can imagine that.

BB – but when Star Me Up closed, nobody had a late night spot that was regular, so I reopened CLN for 7 nights a week.. which I had never done before. I was there every night.. and I was tired, lol.

BB – Well, at the point when I closed in the first time, it was a top performing club. Constantly a #1 club.

Perseus – Was it a very important club for you?

BB - Yes, Club Late Night was a piece of my heart. When I gave away, I have had to separate myself from it completely.

BB – In RLC, nobody works for free, nobody works for tips.. so I felt very blessed I had top DJs working at CLN for tips only. Very blessed.

Perseus – Don’t you think about going back to perform there?

BB – No, I will never go back to Club Late Night unless I’m the owner again.

Perseus – I believe so.

Perseus - At this moment in the platform, few clubs remain active. In your opinion, what is necessary to create an identity and a loyal audience?

BB – I think having an aesthetically-pleasing venue with minimal lag, a great team of inviters and a strong DJ are vastly important.

Perseus – Excellent.

BB – Marketing is also important.. and like I said, clubs are money pits. A lot of expense goes into them with little gain.

Perseus - I must admit, I'm not very into clubs on the platform. My interests are more focused on design and special projects. I tend to frequent only a few places, but among those I do visit are the parties at Rainbow World and BlueTik.in. Fun City Plaza is also pretty cool. You occasionally perform there, right?

BB – I used to DJ at Fun City Plaza, for Joe_Black_JB. He is a sweet man, and a good friend. I was on the relief DJ list for Rainbow World but I don’t think I ever got to DJ there. To be honest, I’m not much for clubs anymore but.. my husband likes to go out to clubs sometimes, lol. Plus, I DJ for his club..

Perseus – I think I was mistaken. I thought you had performed there.

BB - In my old age, I just want to be left alone so I can deco somewhere, lol.

Perseus - I think all of us.

BB – Well, at Rainbow World.. I was asked to be their “5th Friday” DJ… and I was on their list for that.. but while on that list, I don’t think there ever was a 5th Friday, lol.

Perseus – I like the energy of this group a lot.

BB – So I don’t think I’ve ever DJ’d at Rainbow World but have frequented some of their events. I’ve never been to Bluetik.in, they don’t play the kind of music I like. Unless they’ve changed it, that is.

Perseus – I’m still amazed by the amount of money needed to fund a party with numerous dance teams, DJs, and inviters.

BB – Yes, it takes a lot lol.

Perseus – A LOT!! lol

BB – Lol.

Perseus - What inspires you to create a good setlist?

BB - I’ll be honest… everything I do in RLC.. goes on how I “feel”. When I am creating a setlist for an event, I scroll my music folders until my eyes land on what “feels” right for that set.

BB – I’m a very emotional person, some have said I’m intuitive and have discernment.. all I know is that I’m emotion-based.

Perseus – This is very important.

BB – Even my deco… I want the finished product to make the buyer “feel” something when they’re in it.

Perseus - Do the party and the club define your style, or does your style define the club and the night?

BB – That’s a touch question but.. I think the club defines my style, to a point. For example, if I’m DJ’ing a biker club, I will dress for the occasion and will do the MC shoutouts, etc.. I tailor my set to what venue I’m performing in.

Perseus – Lol.

BB – However, I still retain my own style…

BB – I meant tough question, lol.

Perseus – Lol.

BB – BB_licious is not just nym name, it’s my brand. Peeps expect certain things when they hire me, so I have the obligation to meet their expectations.

Perseus – I like this brand a lot.

BB – So do I… lol.

Perseus – Soundful, easy to understand, pleasant. Very good brand.

BB – I put so much of me into my brand.. it’s all me. I put my heart-into it. So when peeps hire me.. whether it be for DJ, deco, marketing.. a piece of my heart is in my work.

Perseus - And the name Bad Deco? How did it come about?

BB – Lol.. that’s a story!

BB – At the time of it’s creation, my boyfriend was XDEISELx. We started the deco business together, and coming up with a name, we put our initials into it – B for BB, a for “and”, D for Diesel. Bad Deco was born.

Perseus – hahaha, amazing!

BB – Lol.

Perseus – I loved it! Very creative.

BB – When my husband and I created Bad Company… well, his name was Bad_Habits, lol. Bad Deco and Bad Company seemed like good fit lol.

Perseus – hahahahaha, wonderful!

BB – I told my last husband, Bad_Habits… I’m not going into business with anybody anymore, I always end up with broken relationships and a new business to run lol. It happens every time.

Perseus – husbands and business are not good combination.. lol.

BB – No, they’re not hahahaha.

Perseus – hahahaha.

BB – From now on, it’s just me lol.

Perseus – much better, BB lol.

BB – hahahahaha.

Perseus – You’ve already been a volunteer, right?

BB – Yes, twice. Years ago, I was a Guide and last year, I was an Ambassador.

Perseus – Tell me about your time as a volunteer.

BB – At the time I became a Guide, my then-boyfriend was a Protector and he encouraged me to join the Volunteer realm. It looked interesting to me, and honestly, I really enjoyed being a Guide. It was a lot of work but I did enjoy it… however.. I was so enthusiastic about it that I overdid it.

BB – Also, I made the mistake of letting peeps know it was me, so.. it was like my main account and my volunteer account were merged, there was no separation. It wore me out, so I ended up leaving the volunteer program.

Perseus – That’s really bad because people mix things up.

BB – Yes, I didn’t make that mistake last year when I signed up to be an Ambassador, lol. My identity was top secret.

Perseus – Was it enjoyable and fun? Is there a lot of responsibility involved?

BB – It was really enjoyable for me, and yes.. it was fun. As a Guide, I had to hang out in the Welcome Center, unless I took someone on a tour. The regulars there made it a lot of fun. It was also a lot of work, and yes.. there was a lot of responsibility.

Perseus – What were the biggest challenges of the job?

BB – Only having two eyeballs, lol.

BB – In the Welcome Center, you literally had to have your head on a swivel, watching everyone and checking for violations.

BB – Also, while keeping a check on local to see who was asking questions, asking for help, looking for a tour, etc. You have to be on your toes with that volunteer position.

BB – Not to mention, the gazillion PM messages you get as a volunteer.. it was a lot. It was also a lot of fun.

BB – You definitely have to be a multi tasker, lol.

Perseus – But in the Welcome Center, it’s usually the newcomers, right?

BB – Yes, but you get regular members as well. There are lots who just like to hang out there.

Perseus – I believe so, lol. Regular members are a danger in the game, lol.

BB – Lol. Yes.. because we know all. insert evil laugh here Lol.

Perseus – hahahaha.

Perseus – How long did your work as a volunteer last?

BB – When I was a Guide.. honestly, I have no idea, lol. Last year, as an Ambassador.. I think I lasted about 6 months.

Perseus – Wow!

BB – Well.. I had a full plate already and then took that on… I had too much going on.

Perseus – That’s quite a long time.

BB – I suppose, depends on how you look at it. I know some Ambassadors who have been there for 10 years or more, so to me, I felt like a failure in that department.

Perseus - Don't think that; I wouldn't last two months. lol

Perseus – What do you take away from this experience?

BB – Well.. I learned that no matter what you think you know about something, there is always something more to learn.

BB – Some people might look at me as a success… and maybe I am, but if you only saw the failures I had to go through to reach the successful ventures… You can’t have one without the other. Failure is the stepping stone to success.

Perseus - I also wouldn't last long in that type of job. Lol.

BB – Lol... it’s not for everyone.

Perseus - But that's part of the whole learning process. The most important thing is the attempt until you get it right.

BB – As an Ambassador, you have to be able to talk to peeps, you have to be able to do paperwork, and you have to be able to work with a team. If you have those 3 things going for you, you should apply to be an Ambassador.

Perseus - But that's part of the whole learning process. The most important thing is the attempt until you get it right.

BB – Yes, that’s right. Try and try again.

Perseus – Always.

BB – If I had stopped trying in the first time I failed, my name wouldn’t be a brand today. I wouldn’t have half of what I have in RLC.

Perseus – One day, it will work out.

BB – Yes.

Perseus - That's what I find wonderful about virtual worlds: there's no room for fear. You can try countless ways to succeed in business.

BB – Yes, that’s true. Not just in business but in personal relationships, too.

Perseus – Now.. I would like to move on to more sensitive topics. Lol.

BB – Okay, lol.

Perseus - Both UV/RLC and Second Life are among the oldest 3D platforms today. What are your thoughts on the current state of these platforms and the natural aging of these technologies?

BB – Sighs… lol.

BB – Okay.. RLC is obviously old and needs lots of updating, which they really can only do so much due to the basis of the platform, I believe.

BB – Xaeon is supposed to be the new and improved version of not just RLC but a combination, in my opinion, of RLC and something like Second Life.

BB – Second Life is amazing BUT… there is a HUGE learning curve there.

BB – The one thing that I love most most about Second Life… is tht there, I’m a small fish in a big pond. I can get lost there if I want to… nobody knows my name.

Perseus – I agree.

BB – Here.. it’s not so easy getting lost if I want to, lol.

BB – I have been to Xaeon. It’s hard for me to get there and stay, due to my computer being older and more decrepit than me, lol.

BB – So I haven’t been back since the newest updates but I would really like to see what improvements they’ve made there.

BB – I do believe that Uherverse will be here til the wheels fall off.

BB – I believe Second Life will also be around for a very long time.. they are constantly updating.

Perseus – I believe so.

Perseus - Do you think there is still room to advance in the classics, or is the future truly in the metaverse?

BB – Xaeon.. again, I think it has the potential to be around for a long time. It’s in its infancy stages and we are growing along with it.

BB – I believe in both, actually. There are some peeps who will never leave this version of Utherverse… due to whatever reason.

Perseus - To wrap up: what does BB leave behind in Utherverse? What legacy remains on this platform?

BB – I have joked for a long time that the almighty Cucumber will be my legacy in RLC, lol. Cucumber_Bob_CLN was the club mascot in Club Late Night. I believe that will follow me for the rest of my virtual life, lol.

BB – But…

Perseus – hahahaha, amazing.

BB – I hope it will be more than that. I hope that when I’m gne, peeps will remember me for who I am and not who others perceived me to be… someone who is honest, faithful, kind, helpful and good to others.

Perseus – Kindness, companionship, and support: these make good legacies.

Perseus – Tell me about Cucumber.

BB – Oh boy lol.. well, that’s a story lol.

BB – Sooooo… before I came into RLC, in my real life I used to be a swinger.. I did that for a couple of years.

BB – I had an experience with a guy who wanted to bring a cucumber into the mix, lol. I  told 2 cucumber stories on the mic and from that point on, cucumbers become a part of the club life at Club Late Night, lol.

BB – The cucumber evolved from a sign on the floor, as a joke… to a 3D cucumber.. to an avatar-sized cucumber.. and finally , to a bot.

Perseus – Hahahahaha, wonderful!

BB – So.. I leave you all, as my my legacy to RLCCucumber_Bob. Hahahaha.

Perseus – I loved the story.

BB – Lol.

BB – I don’t know if they still have him as part of CLN or not. No idea.. but he was a big part of my life. We even have a family photo… he left me with gherkins lol.

Perseus – Excellent!

BB – He has his own layout, too.. Cucumber Bob’s Bachelor Pad, lol.

Perseus - If you were to leave the platform today, what would you take with you? What memories do you carry with you?

BB – If were to leave today.. I would leave with precious memories of people I’ve called friend.. of situations, funny and sad… Of conversations.. of relationships.. so many memories.. and knowledge, lots of knowledge. I have really grown as a person.

BB – Being in RLC has changed me.

BB – But I would also leave with real life friends, people that I love… with them, I would never cease to communicate with.

BB – And…

BB – I hope I have left others with the ability to learn and do more.. by using instructionals I’ve left on Youtube.

BB – Peeps have asked me to show them how to do stuff… I direct them to the videos. I don’t have the patience to teach, lol.

BB – I’m just a person.. I’m on more special than you or anyone else. We’re all unique, in our own ways. I’m just a girl with a brand.

Perseus – Your channel is great. Great step-by-step guides.

BB – Thank you. Wordy… lol. I talk a lot, hahahaha.

Perseus – We’re nearing the end of our interview. Is there any final message you would like to leave?

BB – Just be kind.. you don’t know what the other person is going through. At the end of the day, be able to go to sleep knowing you did a good deed that day.. and no matter how busy you are, if somebody needs to talk – stop and talk. You might be the reason they live to see tomorrow.

Perseus - 😊

Perseus – These messages and stories are what enchant me about the platform.

BB – Yes.. everyone has a story to tell.

Perseus – I’d like to thank everyone for being here. BB, once again, thank you.

BB – Perseus, thank you so much for having me here. It’s been a pleasure and I appreciate what you’re doing with your platform. Thank you again. Thak you all, for being here.

Perseus – I thank you. I learn every day from you all! It has been a pleasurable journey in RLC. Thank you everyone. We’ll see each other in the November edition.

BB – Awesome.

Perseus - See you next time, everyone!

CUCUMBERS ON SCREEN: A MOVIE NIGHT FULL OF FLAVOR AND LAUGHS!

Cucumber" is a British miniseries that marks Russell T. Davies' return to adult-oriented productions. After the success of "Queer as Folk" in the early 2000s, Davies focused on projects like "Doctor Who" and "Torchwood."

The story follows Henry, a middle-aged gay man who, after a tragic misunderstanding and a proposal from his boyfriend, moves in with much younger work colleagues. Using the cucumber as a provocative metaphor, "Cucumber" explores themes of love, loss, and the complexities of relationships in modern life in Manchester, providing a sensitive and humorous look at contemporary gay experiences.

An American Pickle" is a 2020 dramedy directed by Brandon Trost and written by Simon Rich. The story follows Herschel Greenbaum, played by Seth Rogen, who emigrates to the United States with his wife in search of a new life, fleeing the destruction caused by the Cossacks in his hometown. After an accident, Herschel is preserved in a pickle brine for 100 years and wakes up in a modern, unfamiliar world, where he reunites with his great-grandson, Ben, also portrayed by Rogen.

The film explores the importance of family and legacy through the relationship between Herschel and Ben, who represent different generations. While Herschel struggles to adapt to a world he no longer recognizes, Ben grapples with his own insecurities and the search for meaning in his life. Their dynamic provokes both humorous and emotional moments, highlighting the strength of family ties, especially within a Jewish family, where the connection between parents and children is central.

Although the film employs elements of magical realism and some narrative conveniences, this does not prevent the story from reflecting on loss, religion, and adaptation to modernity. Rogen's performance is a highlight, showcasing his ability to portray such distinct characters. Ultimately, "An American Pickle" offers a reflection on how different generations deal with change and familial expectations while keeping the dream of family legacy alive.
